Check out this great Leaning Overhead Triceps Extension exercise with the NT Loop in the video below. It’s not only great at targeting the triceps, but also an ideal way to incorporate accommodating resistance with the band.
A common misunderstanding is that all band training incorporates accommodating resistance, but this isn’t so. In order for that to take place, the band resistance must increase as the muscles being trained gain better mechanical advantage. This help match the strength curve of the exercise to that of the resistance.
Make sure to setup your NT Loop about chest height and secure it to a stable object. You’ll want to have a moderate amount of tension on the band, but not too much or it will compromise a solid body position. Also, you’ll want to focus on slower, controlled movement. This will enhance the movement and make it more challenging.
